Blueberries Form Jazz Band, Claim 'It's All About the Jam'
Tuesday, July 8, 2025Debut album drops next week, featuring hits like “Berry Groovy” and “Sax & Snacks.”
In a bold blend of music and produce, a group of rhythmically inclined blueberries have formed a jazz band that’s already creating serious buzz on the farmers’ market circuit. Their name? The Blue Note Berries.
Led by front-berry Bluvin "Smoothie" McBerry, the band’s saxophone-sweet sound and jazzy vibes are making waves ahead of their debut album, "Berry Groovy", set to drop next week.
“We’ve spent years stuck in muffins and yogurt parfaits,” said McBerry at a packed press release near the Organic Stage. “It’s time the world hears what we’re really made of. And trust me, it’s more than antioxidants.”
The album, which features tracks like “Sax & Snacks,” “Raspberry Riffs,” and the surprisingly emotional ballad “Jam Session for One,” is already being called “the smoothest thing since puréed pears” by early reviewers.
The band, consisting of:
- Bluvin McBerry – Saxophone & vocals
- Jazzy Juneberry – Upright bass
- B.B. Blue – Piano & backing berries
- Crush McJam – Drums (played with tiny celery sticks)
has been spotted jamming late into the night behind the local smoothie bar. Fans describe their music as “ripe, complex, and unexpectedly funky.”
Rival fruits have responded with mixed tones. “I don’t get jazz,” said Cherry, spokesperson for the Pit Fruit Collective. “It’s like... they’re all playing different songs at once.”
Despite the criticism, The Blue Note Berries remain unfazed. “We’re not here to be mainstream,” said drummer Crush McJam. “We’re here to jam. Literally.”
Their debut concert, titled “Berry Groovy Live: One Night in the Blender,” is already sold out.
